Random photo shoot

Since Doug and I feel so cooped up in this apartment and Nanny & PaPa were at the river we decided to go cook out at their house :) Of course we supplied our own steaks. While Daddy was grilling I laid Ava Douglas in the grass and just started randomly taking pictures. Not much else to report other than having to wipe down her soaked chin what seems like every 5 minutes... but no teeth yet.

"I wonder if it's okay to eat that caterpillar?"
I love sticking out my tongue ;)

Just a walk in time

It was really nice on Saturday so all of us went to the park to walk through the trails. I must admit it kicked my butt. This park is one I've been going to since I was a little child playing softball and going to all of my brother's baseball games. My friend Susan and I used to run through these trails but I guess I'm officially old now because I could hardly handle it lol Ava Douglas enjoyed it but she was in her stroller being pushed up and down the hills.

It actually "Quacks"!

Ava Douglas has already outgrown her little baby bath tub. I was browsing through Target today and came across this adorable inflatable duck bath tub that actually quacks. It has a little blue circle on the bottom of it that will tell you if the water is too hot. When Kayla first put Ava in she was crying pretty hard so I squeezed the beak and she heard it quack and then started smiling. She then enjoyed her bath. Couldn't you just eat her up?

It's "Sew" Special

Well my wonderful, beautiful cousin JanethLynn gave me a handmade pillowcase quilt at my baby shower for Ava Douglas. It is one of my favorites not only because it's so pretty but because it was handmade by her (she is and has always been not just a close family member but my best friend our entire lives) I had been telling her for a while that I wanted to make one. Since I'm out of work what better time to attempt. So, mom and I set out amongst the thrift stores to find some vintage pillowcases. We found quite a few and they all coordinated... SCORE!! Below is a few pictures of it in Ava's crib. I think it turned out gorgeous and I actually sewed it :)

Just a few of Bunny's toys

So I'm thinking that Ava Douglas is a little confused on how a bouncy seat should actually work.

She now refuses to sit back in the seat and it appears that she wants to use the toy bar as a headband... just slightly bigger than her head though lol

She absolutely loves her exersaucer. We have a terrible time pulling her out of it. The dragon is her favorite :)

Hi Bunny!

We have a 7 Month old Bunny

That's right. It's hard to believe but Ava Douglas is 7 months old today. Some days it feels as if she just arrived and other days I can't remember what our lives were like before she came. We have truly been blessed with this beautiful, little angel. She is changing every day right before our eyes. Ava Douglas thinks we are the funniest thing she's ever seen and she loves us in spite of all of our faults. Every morning we wake up to her gorgeous smile and she is always so excited to see us. What an incredible feeling she gives us. She doesn't know it yet but she is the greatest gift to us... to our family. Thank you Ava for blessing us and letting us love you!

Happy 7 Months Baby girl!

Kayla goes to prom

So, Kayla and her boyfriend Zach are back together. They had broken up just a few days prior to Clover Hill's prom so she didn't go to that prom. Tanya (Kayla's old friend from Hanover)had asked if Kayla would go with her boyfriends best friend while her and Zach were broken up. Kayla said she would and that way she could see some of her old friends too. Well, her and Zach got back together about a week prior to Hanover's prom but she still went. I was really proud of her for sticking to her word. She said she had a good time but missed Zach lol Here are a couple of photos of her. I think she looks stunning oh and a little too grown up for me.
